The updated list of scholarship recipients are:
Alex Morelock Jacob DeVaughn Aaron Christianson Kyle Murray Kaleb Miller was originally one of the scholarship recipients, but his other scholarship prevented him from benefiting from the scholarship award, so he graciously asked to have his share given to another deserving frater. The 2021-2022 scholarship award is in memory of Frater Charles Haywood, DZ190, who passed away on 10/31/2020. The DZ Alumni Association Memorial Scholarship, endowed through SEMO, is at approximately $48,000 as of this post. This year, we were allowed $3370 to disburse to chosen recipients. The alumni association, along with input from the chapter, chose the following four actives from the DZ chapter: Kaleb Miller, Aaron Christianson, Alex Morelock, and Jacob DeVaughn. In addition to making at least a 3.0 GPA, each of these fraters are currently officers in the chapter. They will each receive $842.50 for the 2021-2022 school year. The first in-person alumni meeting since November 2019 was held at Rock N Brews Restaurant. In attendance was Brian Elledge (President), Larry Snopek (Grammateus), Dan Green (Treasurer), Ray Ford, Bruce Jannsen, Jack Schaar, Greg Sestric, and Steve Fenwick. The items we discussed included: adding a separate account specifically for philanthropy related expenses, alumni dues status (80 paid so far fo 2021), DZ Alumni Association Scholarship recipients, and upcoming events.
